Annamalai Certificate Programme
Sugam Karnatica has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, India to offer fine arts courses for students learning the fine arts in Malaysia. The objective is to motivate and encourage students of arts to pursue their passion through systematic and organized examinations conducted in University format.
About Annamalai University

The Annamalai University was founded in the year 1929 by philanthropist the Hon’ble Dr. Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar of Chettinad, Kt., LL.D., D.Litt. Since then, during these seventy-nine years, the Annamalai University has grown into a premier, unitary, residential institution of higher learning and research.
The University today is spread over an extensive campus of about one thousand acres and has the Faculties of Arts, Science, Indian Languages, Engineering and Technology, Education, Fine Arts, Agriculture, Medicine and Dentistry and in all they comprise 49 Departments of Study.
Dr. Rajah Sir M.A. Muthiah Chettiar of Chettinad, Kt., B.A., D.Litt., the Founder Pro-Chancellor from 1948 to 1984 assiduously nurtured the growth and development of the University and devoted his life to realize the aims of his noble father Dr. Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar.
All the programmes of study offered by the Directorate of Distance Education have the approval of the Distance Education Council, New Delhi.

Criteria for Pass and Classification:
​
A candidate for the certification Grade Certificate Programme will be declared as passed if he/she secures a minimum of 40% in written/practical examinations.
​
The successful candidates who passes by fulfilling the above stipulations will be arranged in the following classes:
​
a. A candidate securing 75% or above will be declared as pass in First Class with Distinction.
b. Those securing 60% or above (but below 75%) will be declared as pass in First Class.
c. Those securing 50% or above (but below 60%) will be declared as pass in Second Class.
​
Sugam Karnatica will function as the Exam Coordinator in Malaysia. Exams will be held once a year and a graduation ceremony will be held yearly for all those who pass the exams. For further details, call us at 012.2239356.
